Welcome to HOLT(House Of Little Things) where we aim to offer a cozy home for the little things in this world.🐱💛

Founded by us, Momo (the orange) and Mini (the grey), our expert skills in napping, zoomies, and demanding snacks fuel our mission: to bring you the best pet-themed goodies while helping abandoned animals find the love and care they deserve.

Our Story

It all started with a dinner at a restaurant, where fate introduced us to a stray cat in need. She had been coming to the restaurant for three years, surviving on scraps offered by the owner. But her living conditions were terrible. The restaurant was right next to a busy highway, she was infected by worms and ticks and had a large lump on her back due to an untreated wound, yet no one had ever taken her to the vet.

So we did.

That’s when we discovered she was microchipped. We tracked down her owner, but shockingly, he refused to take her back, claiming she had died years ago.
We also found out that she was born in an animal refuge, adopted as a kitten, and then abandoned shortly after. Her mom was a stray and she spent most of her life roaming the streets and bushes like her mom. Yet, despite everything, she remained incredibly kind and gentle.

Luckily, this cat found her happy ending, she was adopted once again into one of our family members and now lives a safe, comfortable life. We named her Mafia because she’s a chic black cat with a strong personality!

But our mission doesn’t end with Mafia’s happy ending.

Each year, countless animals are abandoned, and those in shelters rarely find a forever home. Sadly, most face euthanasia. Even those lucky enough to be adopted often risk being abandoned again, even being microchipped, left to fend for themselves on the streets like Mafia, where many fall victim to accidents or worse. All of this happens due to a lack of awareness and responsibility on our part as humans.

We know we can’t save them all on our own, but together, we can make a difference.

That’s why House of Little Things was born.

What We Are Doing

💛 5% of all profits go directly to Four Paws, a global organization dedicated to rescuing and protecting animals. Once we hit our funding goal, these profits will go toward launching our new adoption support program! (More information below)

💛 Personal monthly donations: In addition to donating product profits, we contribute a personal amount each month to help animals in need. (See the photo below)

💛 Creating social media content: We produce and share educational content that raises awareness about the reality of abandoned animals, the importance of taking action to help, and the physical and mental benefits of adopting and caring for an animal.

We are raising €20,000 to launch a NEW foster-based adoption support program, which will help approximately 20 abandoned animals find loving, permanent homes.

How We Make an Impact with This Fund

💛 Social media exposure: Our content creation team will showcase rescued animals on social media, just like they currently do with us (yes, we are Momo and Mini!), highlighting their unique charm and personality instead of solely focusing on their hardships or rescue stories. Our goal is to help viewers truly get to know each little charming soul, fostering the fastest adoption possible. This boosts their visibility, helping them find homes more quickly. And who knows? Some furry friends might even become celebrities!✨

💛 Foster-based adoption support: We aim to go beyond temporary fostering by supporting permanent adopters who provide forever homes to abandoned animals. Adopters who collaborate with us will receive financial incentives!

Unlike traditional fostering programs, our system incentivizes adopters on a long-term:

🐾 Year 1: Adopters receive financial support for their expenses (medical care, food, etc.) reimbursed with proof of receipts.
🐾 From Year 2-: If they have proven to be responsible and caring, they receive a small fixed incentive every month to continue their care, until their furry family passes! The incentive amount varies based on the adopted animal’s age and health condition. This cost will be covered by the brand's profits and donations from supporters.

We believe that this unique approach will help passionate animal lovers care for their adopted animals, encourage adoption over buying newborn animals, and ultimately reduce the number of stray animals while preventing the abuse of animals for breeding over time.
